To mark its 50th anniversary,
Givenchy is reintroducing ten of its mythic scents.
In 1957 Hubert de Givenchy created a cult perfume for his muse and friend
Audrey Hepburn. Together they named it
L'Interdit. That same year the couture house became a perfume house with Le De, previously available exclusively from four leading department stores in Paris, London and New York.
In 1959 Hubert de Givenchy had his personal fragrance
Vetyver created, a woody scent as elegant as it is natural. Then he conceived Monsieur, the first scent to be marketed internationally.
The early 1970s were a turning point in the lives of women and elegance took on a fresh face with
Givenchy III.Then came
L'Eau de Givenchy and
Xeryus in the 80s, followed by
Insensé,
Extravagance d'Amarige and
Organza Indécence all of which marked the 1990s.
For this new edition, the bottle for the ten fragrances was created by
Pablo Reinoso. The sober, sleek design features a thick base and a play of light between the transparent and frosted glass, with perfect proportions between the flacon and the cap.
A collection this elegant, resolutely modern could only be one thing: So Givenchy.
The ten Parfums Mythiques are available at Parfums Givenchy sales outlets and on the Web at www.parfumsgivenchy.com/e-boutique.
