Touchless B&O remote control.

Joris Van Gelder has designed a futuristic remote control for Bang & Olufsen. Still in development, the idea was to create a remote control for kitchen use. The remote is (mostly) touchless in order to keep it bacteria free. The remote responds to finger gestures.

Bang & Olufsen BeoVision 8 LCD display

Bang & Olufsen has announced BeoVision 8, a new 32-inch flat screen with an integrated center channel speaker that delivers state-of-the-art sound and picture quality and offers flexible placement options.

BeoVision 8 has both a high light transmission and a high black level, which is important to create the best picture possible on a LCD screen. BeoVision 8 will be available in all Bang & Olufsen showrooms by February 2008 with a price tag of $3950.

Bang & Olufsen Beo 5 remote control

Bang & Olufsen has announced Beo 5, a new remote control. Now you can have touch-screen control of your TV, films, music and more – right in the palm of your hand. Beo 5 knows which devices you own and presents just the relevant menus and controls on its intelligent hardened glass screen. You get all the visual feedback you need, without obstructing everyone’s view of the big screen. Menus are copied to the screen on the remote and even station logos appear here, eliminating the need to remember all those numbers. Link rooms are controlled by means of Zones, e.g. the living room or kitchen zone, so you are always sure to have access to the right products and functions in each room.
