Porsche Design Group has unveiled the P’9522 an sleek new handset of brushed aluminum and a glass plate. Features include 2.8-inch touchscreen, GPS and a 5-megapixel camera. Goes on sale from November 2008 priced at 600 Euros.

Cayenne Turbo S

Porsche , has extended its third model line by the addition of the top of the range Cayenne Turbo S. The Turbo S, the most powerful Cayenne of them all, is driven by a 4.8 liter V8 engine with twin turbo forced induction, delivering 550 hp (404 kW).

The Turbo S is Porsche’s response to the wishes of its customers. There is huge demand, especially in the new emerging markets of Eastern Europe and Asia, for exclusive sports-style SUVs with top quality physical handling dynamics. Despite the fact that Porsche has managed to give the new Turbo S even better drive performance than the regular Turbo model (500 hp / 368 kW), the fuel efficiency figures for the Turbo S are exactly the same as those for the Cayenne Turbo (as per the calculation methods stipulated under the New European Operating Cycle – NEFZ).

The Porsche Cayenne Turbo S can accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds and its top speed is 280 km/h. The Turbo S will be introduced into the market as from August 2008.

Porsche Cayenne Hybrid

Porsche has unveiled the Cayenne SUV hybrid prototype featuring a full-hybrid design (clutch and electric motor positioned between the engine and the transmission). The Cayenne hybrid combines Porsche’s 3.6-liter direct fuel injection gas engine with an electric motor and 38 kW, 288 volt nickel metal hydride battery pack reports hybridcars.com.

Porsche + Poggenpohl Kitchen

Porsche has partnered with Poggenpohl to design a Kitchen aimed at men.

"Our co-operation with Porsche Design enabled us to design a kitchen whose sleek and functional design language specifically addresses male customers," says the press release. As for actual design details? No-handle cabinets, aluminum finishes, hi-tech A/V system. Not sure what the male gender has to do with a lack of handles, but Poggenpohl's the oldest furniture brand in Germany, so we're sure they know what they're doing.

Porsche Cayenne Hybrid

Porsche has unveiled the Cayenne SUV hybrid prototype, providing a glimpse of what the company will offer to consumers by the end of the decade.

Porsche is targeting average fuel consumption figures of 9.8 liters/100 kilometers in the New European Driving Cycle and about 24 miles per gallon in the US FTP cycle for the Cayenne Hybrid, and future developments may allow Porsche engineers to push towards an average fuel consumption figure of 8.9 liters/kilometer (approximately 26 miles per gallon).

The Cayenne Hybrid will feature a full-hybrid design where the hybrid module (clutch and electric motor) is positioned between the combustion engine and the transmission rather than having the hybrid drivetrain branching output along various lines and in various directions via a planetary gearset. Porsche selected this design because the in-line configuration of the hybrid components are more compatible with the existing Cayenne platform, this system in testing is more fuel efficient, and because this configuration is a better fit for Porsche as it will provide improved acceleration and engine flexibility compared to a conventional Cayenne.

Porsche P9521 Cellphone

Porsche is set to launch the P9521 Cellphone. The P'9521 engineered and manufactured by Sagem in France will retail for $1,600.

The P9521 features a scratch-resistant screen which rotates 180 degrees, a 3 megapixel camera, a fingerprint reader and MP3 player too.
