Iset Tower has been granted approval to commence building by officials in Russia.
Designed by French architects Valode and Pistre, new tower will stand at 215 meters.
The tower is cylindrical wrapping around a central core.
25,000 people in apartments and villas will occupy the luxury island set to be completed in time for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, said its designer, Dutch architect Erick van Egeraat.
It will have two marinas, three religious centres, roads, parkland and artificial rivers, the latter designed to mimic some of the major rivers of Russia. Seen at Luxist.com
