Alexander Calder "Batmobile"

American painter and sculptor Alexander Calder  created a one-of-a-kind car for BMW back in 1975. The 3.0 CSL "Batmobile" GT racer helped launch the auto brand's "Ultimate Driving Machine" campaign message and will soon be on display at Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance.

The colorful auto debuted to the public in May 1975 at the Musee des Arts Decoratifs at the Louvre. "It was an elegant creative alliance of racer and art auctioneer Herve Poulain and American sculptor Alexander Calder, mixed with the foresight of BMW Motorsport chief Jochen Neerpasch," says the Amelia Island Concours. 

Garia LSV Concept Car

The Garia LSV Concept Car will debut at the world-renowned motor show in Geneva, March 4-14 2010.

In collaboration with Valmet Automotive, Garia is proud to introduce The Garia LSV Concept Car, a street legal version of The Garia Golf Car.

An LSV is a Low Speed Vehicle allowed to travel on public roads in the U.S. not accessible to regular golf carts or neighborhood electric vehicles.

The Garia LSV is fitted with street legal safety equipment such as seatbelts, license plate, and side mirrors.


The Garia LSV will be introduced in the U.S. in the summer 2010. In the EU, The Garia LSV will be introduced as non-street legal.

GINA Light Visionary Model

BMW's GINA (Geometry and Functions in 'N' Adaptations ) Light Visionary Model is a new concept car that uses plastic-coated lycra fabric, stretched over the car's metal frame.The skin and skeleton can bend and contract like, well, real skin and skeleton. The car is based off a 4.4-liter Z8 with a six-speed mechanical diffusion.

SUPERFAST The Ferrari Paintings of Dexter Brown

Simon Khachadourian, SUPERFAST The Ferrari Paintings of Dexter Brown, is being published by The Pullman Gallery – which will also hold a retrospective exhibition of Dexter's artworks at its Mount Street premises from 1st May until 12th June.

Only 550 copies of the limited-edition volume will be printed: 500 cloth-bound with slipcase, priced at £375, and 50 leather-bound with slipcase, priced at £695 (excluding p&p). All 550 copies are signed by both the artist and the author.

Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4

Lamborghini today took the wraps off its Gallardo coupe, called the LP560-4. The car delivers 560 horsepower at 8,000 rpm via a 5.2-liter V10 engine and capable of hitting 62 mph in 3.7 seconds.

The 560 portion of the car's name reflects its horsepower, while the "4" designation indicates all-wheel-drive.

Corvette Z03

Dutch design house “Ugur Sahin Design” is showing off a concept Corvette Z03, modeled after Corvette Z06.

According to “Ugur Sahin Design”, the Corvette Z03 features a series of mechanical upgrades including three engine packages which range from 500 to 750 HP. The Dutch company plans to put the Corvette Z03 into a limited edition run of 100 units by the end of the year.
