one version of the night bed gives all new meaning to storing things under the bed. it is available with or without a container unit under the springing (as shown in diagram and photo). the bottom base (which rests on the floor) is available in nickel-plated brushed steel or varnished graphite and the upper base and headboard are upholstered in polyurethane/dacron du pont with a non-removable internal nylon cover and a removable external cover available in a choice of fabrics or leathers. the steel inner frame is varnished aluminum. the springing is made of natural bent beech strips with stiffness adjusters inserted into nylon joints.
model 1855 is furnished with the storage container unit which is fitted inside the upper base and accessed by lifting the mattress with a special device.
