Graduate of the Royal College of London, Mélanie Georgapoulos is a Greek and French young designer who, influenced by her sculpture formation, imagines luxurious jewels luxurious reflect of her passion for beautiful materials, forms and design. Her first collection uses pearls, the challenge being to reinvent a classic, to re-interpret in a modern and unique way the traditional necklace.

To celebrate their one hundred and fiftieth anniversary this year, Parisian jewelers Boucheron have commissioned Harumi Klossowska to design a necklace. Harumi Klossowska's necklace features two intertwined snakes which are inlaid with emeralds, sapphires, turquoise scales with matte gold.

The MIKIMOTO South Sea cultured pearl necklace priced at $1,000,000 is distinguished from all other pearls by its magnificent, satiny luster. MIKIMOTO South Sea White cultured pearls have a subdued, opalescent appearance which changes slightly under different light conditions – making them a constant marvel to behold.

South Sea White cultured pearls are produced in Northwestern Australia and Indonesia. Their sizes begin at 9 millimeters and can reach 19 millimeters. This necklace, the only one of its kind in the world, features 27 extremely rare AAA quality cultured pearls 15.06 x 17.24 mm in diameter, and took over 10 years to Clasp of 1-mill necklace complete.

This spectacular piece is complemented by a gorgeous art deco oval clasp with 11.92 carats of diamonds.
