For 85 years BMW has been building some of the world’s best motorcycles--an accomplishment that this lavish book duly celebrates, with exquisite photographs and detailed descriptions of classic bikes, along with a concise history of the legendary company. From the first model, the R32, through the bikes that catapulted BMW out of the ruins of World War II, to the latest motorcycles with the revamped opposed-twin-cylinder “boxer” engines that brought the company its first fame--these are the bikes that made BMW great.

Royal Copenhagen Elements

Royal Copenhagen received Bo Bedre’s coveted “Design of the Year” prize for the ground-breaking Elements service, created by Danish designers, Louise Campbell. Elements marks the I first time this century that Royal Copenhagen has launched a new service for which all the items were completely newly developed. The new service incorporates elements from Royal Copenhagen’s most richly traditional services over three centuries: the Blue Fluted, Flora Danica and Half Lace. A daring new color scheme in bright orange, turquoise, green and red signals that this is an innovative breakthrough in style, emanating new modern thinking and vitality.

Elements includes everything from cups and plates in various sizes and shapes to jugs and square serving tiles that are suitable for sushi, tapas and desserts, as well as salad bowls and dishes. Besides plain white, each item is available in its own individual color.
