Shanghai Tang Little Lanterns

Shanghai Tang has announced a new baby collection entitled Little Lanterns. The Little Lantern collection is inspired by the Lantern Festival that takes place in China each year when children go out at night to temples carrying paper lanterns. The festival marks the end of the Chinese New Year and has been a celebration of families since ancient times.

Shanghai Tang’s Little Lantern collection consists of photo frames, photo albums, gift sets, baby blankets and accompanying baby clothes.

Dalmore £10,000 Malt Whisky

Dalmore released a rare 1951-vintage single malt whisky with a RSP of £10,000 per bottle.

Only 12 decanters of the Sirius expression from premium whisky brand The Dalmore will be produced. Sirius will only be available to private buyers and through a limited network of World Duty Free (WDF) stores.

“The international market for high-end luxury products which have an investment value is buoyant - and the finest whiskies are playing an increasingly dominant role in this sector,” says The Dalmore’s Brand Director, David Robertson.

“Our partnership with World Duty Free allows us to reach an elite group of investors and whisky aficionados across the globe. We will be focusing on key target markets in Taiwan, USA and France.”

Sirius will be launched in the flagship WDF store at Heathrow Terminal 5. Nigel Sandals, Category Buying Manager for Liquor at WDF, adds: “Our customer base contains some of the most knowledgeable investors in spirits in the world.

“Being able to offer the absolute best-quality luxury goods is a very strong incentive for buyers to use travel retail and World Duty Free - as they would a specialist retailer - to get exceptional value and to see a real return on their investment.”

The Dalmore’s 1951 Sirius Vintage is a single-cask, single malt whisky, with a cask strength of 45%.

The Dalmore Master Distiller, Richard Paterson, says: “Distinguished and elegant, age has gracefully finessed this brilliant expression. Sirius is, quite simply, one of the world’s most perfect whiskies.”

Lambretta Bicicletta Li126

The retro-chic Lambretta brand has entered a new era with the launch of the world’s first Lambretta Bicicletta, the limited edition Li126, brought to you by Fisher Outdoor Leisure. Modelled on the cult Lambretta scooter of the mod era, the Li126 (RRP £599) is a ‘city cruiser’ for men and women who appreciate style and design. It will be launched to the public at the London Cycle Show 2009 at Earls Court, 8-11 October.

LAM DETAIL_8The Lambretta Bicicletta reflects the Lambretta’s vintage styling but with a modern twist. The colours and the chrome finish have been painstakingly matched and the Lambretta badge and logo have been carefully incorporated into the design. Every one of the 500 limited edition models is individually numbered and comes with its own certificate of authenticity.

In the ‘50s and ‘60s, the Lambretta scooter became a symbol of youth, independence and rebellion and was embraced by the mod culture. It is therefore fitting that number 1 of this limited edition model was presented to Paul Weller, the ‘modfather’.

The Book of Conversations

The Book of Conversations includes photographers Rankin, Julia Fullerton-Batten, Guido Argentini and Andreas Smetana. Mark Porter, Creative Director of The Guardian, James Sommerville, Co-founder of The Attik, Illustrators Aardman Animations (Creators of Wallace & Gromit), eBoy, Faiyaz Jafri, and Gary Taxali. And many creatives from Advertising Agencies around the world: Weiden+Kennedy, The Glue Society Sydney, TBWA, Madre Buenos Aires, Strawberry Frog New York and JWT Tokyo.

The Book of Conversations is a collection of questions, each one a conversation starter. It’s the intrigue of exploring someone and discovering what lies beneath. Some questions are deep, some trivial and some you will never forget.

However, just words were not enough. Images provoke people in ways that words sometimes can’t. 120 artists, graphic designers, creative directors, art directors, photographers, illustrators and animators were approached and were each given a question.

Their task was to provoke this question with an image. The image could make the reader cry, shout, laugh or think. But most importantly, it should get them to talk.

Along with the support from all the contributors, part of the proceeds from this book will go towards benefiting three children’s charities. Warchild.org, globalfundforchildren.org and soschildrensvillages.org.uk.
