Venturi Voltage EV

The Venturi Volage, was presented for the first time at the "Mondial 2008" (Paris Motor Show), marking a major step forward in the evolution of the Automobile. This new Venturi incorporates innovations which have enabled radical changes in terms of the vehicle's architecture, style, dynamic behaviour and, more generally, the design of a modern vehicle. The Voltage is the first vehicle to be equipped with the Michelin Active Wheel, an advanced system of in-wheel electric motors at each corner of the car. Each wheel comes with two motors – one to drive a reduction gear, and the other to manage the active suspension.

The car’s 45 kWh lithium batteries are capable of taking it as far as 199 miles (320 km) at a speed of 56 mph (90 km/h) on a single charge, with a top speed of 93 mph. Production on the limited run of Voltages is set to begin in 2012, with each vehicle being individually hand-assembled in Venturi’s Monaco atelier.
