warning%20by%20nicole%20recchia.jpgwarning labels have become ubiquitous, from take-out coffee cups to heavy machinery. unnoticed, often unheeded, they contain a special graphic language. designed to ensure clarity of a message, the visual simplicity of warning labels provides for clear meaning, though frequently awkward and often comical. humans are reduced to stick figures, their actions portrayed through ellipses and arrows, as they navigate this danger-filled world. as they fall from ladders, get scorched by fire, tumble out of cranes and get fatally wrapped in crankshafts, the stick figures throw their hands in the air: a dramatically silent "oh no!" warning is a collection of some 160 macabre warning labels from around the world, depicting the worst hazards imaginable. be entertained, be amused, but most of all, be forewarned! warning by nicole recchia
