Hermes has launched Terre d'Hermes, a new scent for men. To ensure that their new scent stood out, the family-owned firm hired top perfumer Jean-Claude Ellena, former head nose of Van Cleef & Arpels and Bulgari writes men.style. Terre d'Hermes, is built from the ground up—it incorporates only mineral and vegetal ingredients—and is dominated by citrus notes and, according to official literature, the "smell of bodies after lovemaking."
Terre D'Hermes is for the man who is a poet by nature, someone who sees the extraordinary in the ordinary. This is for the man who has his feet firmly on the ground, but his head is in the stars. A creation encapsulating all the earth's elements, like wood, flowers, and stone. Key ingredients of grapefruit and peppers give the fragrance vigour, whilst the earthy aromas of vetiver and cedarwood add richness and aroma.
